The first version of Tondo had ordinary tables. People ordered a plate each and guarded it. We had built a sharing menu that nobody shared.
The fix was furniture
A carpenter in Alcântara made us one turning centre as an experiment. That table ordered twice as many plates as any other and stayed an hour longer. We ordered ten more the next morning.
It changes how a table talks to itself.
Now the two-tops turn as well. It looks slightly silly and it works: the plate you were not sure about comes round, you try it, and you order another.
